Fresh Eyes on Ice: Connecting Arctic Communities through a Revitalized and Modernized Freshwater Ice Observation Network is a project that is currently focused on Alaskan lake and rivers, observations relies on field studies, remote sensing, cameras and buoys, historic data, community-based monitoring, and citizen science.  The website allows for data input from community members across Alaska.  They have maps, current observations, and all sorts of interesting information about ice in Alaska.
