Welcome to Community and Citizen Science in the Far North!
Connecting community and citizen science efforts across the Arctic.
In the Arctic, community-driven citizen science is of paramount importance among the local communities. It can integrate Indigenous knowledge, provide access to remote areas, monitor rapid environmental changes, preserve cultural heritage, empower local communities, and foster collaborative decision-making. It is a powerful approach that can lead to more inclusive, relevant, and effective scientific research and conservation efforts in the Arctic region, while also promoting community engagement, capacity building, and empowerment.
The goal of this community is to engage in discussions, share ideas and resources, and build connections. We hope you'll join us!
