Our community is dedicated to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and trusted online environment capable of supporting meaningful community dialogue and the professional exchange of information and ideas and building collaborations. To help promote these conditions, all online participants are expected to adhere to the Connect the Arctic Community Site Guidelines.
We have established the following guidelines:
- Together let’s build a positive, welcoming environment where everyone feels safe to share ideas, thoughts, and feedback. Let’s be supportive, respect individual opinions, and report inappropriate posts if needed.
- You should respectfully challenge ideas, but never directly attack a person. Any posts, comments, chats, or DMs to members or admins that are inappropriate, rude, or aggressive will be immediately removed. This includes posts that spread misinformation & are disruptive to the group.
- This community thrives on the participation of its members. Contribute positively, ask questions, share your experiences, and help build a supportive and informative space for everyone. You can help by keeping your discussions and posts related to the community's focus.
- Do not use the community to promote products, services, or other websites unless relevant to the discussion and disclosed transparently.
- Respect the privacy of others and do not share personal information without consent. Do not engage in any activities that compromise the safety or security of community members or that could be considered illegal.
- Respect intellectual property rights, including proper citation and sourcing when sharing content. Do not post copyrighted material without proper attribution or permissions.
Reporting Violations: If you encounter a post or comment that violates these guidelines, please report it to the community site administrators for review. Do not engage in public disputes or "flame wars" with other members. If you have concerns or disagreements, you can contact the community site team privately for clarification and resolution.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in warnings, post removal, or account suspension, depending on the severity of the violation.
We welcome feedback and suggestions for improving the community. If you have ideas or concerns about the guidelines or the platform itself, please share them constructively.
