"Helllooooooo out there to all the Arctic Eduction peeps"
Let's get talking!
Share a question, idea, random fun fact, fun photo, not so cool photo, and anything else you'd like to share.
Pose a 'challenge' to the group, ask a scientific question, anything goes (within reason of course). :-)

The "Day Sleeper" magnet that was my door aboard the USCGC Healy during my first cruise in the Arctic now lives on my fridge.
I have an entire cabinet of amazing art from around Alaska. But, my favorite piece is a carved piece of ivory of a female walrus with her calf snuggling together. The ivory is so smooth and the two are carved out of the same piece of ivory. It was one of the first piece I got from a carver on Little Diomede Island when I worked there.
At my house, I have a section of wall that includes some images I took while in Antarctica and a small shelf that holds my two styrofoam cups that were sent to 10,000 feet. In my classroom, I have photos on the wall and one of the drawings (of a penguin) that was made on the trace metal "tent" plastic in the lab. It is a great conversation starter with students.
