2024 Summer Teaching Opportunity in the Arctic

We are looking for experienced science educators who have done work in the north pole.

Program: 2024 IDEAS Arctic Research & Enrichment Program
Date: 7/14/2024 - 7/24/2024
Student Served: age 10-18
Theme: Exploring Biodiversity
Major responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching, lesson developments, mentoring student research projects.
Compensations cover cruise ship lodging, airfares and a stipend.

Day 1: Arrive in Oslo
Day 2: Travel to Longyearbyen
Day 3: Longyearbyen City Tour and Boarding
Day 4: Hornsund Fjord
Day 5: Bellsund
Day 6: North Polar Ice Area
Day 7: Makeoyane-Monaco Glacier
Day 8: Laudefjorden-Smeerenburg
Day 9: Ny-Alesund-Kongsfjorden
Day 10: Disembark in Longyearbyen-return to Oslo
